Ongoing care

Lifestyle-related disease and fatty liver care

We review blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, fatty liver, weight, alcohol use, sleep and screening results to build a practical plan for ongoing care.

01

Conditions and screening findings

These conditions may have few symptoms in their early stages. Diagnosis and treatment are based on the overall result, medical history and change over time, not on one number alone.

  • High blood pressure or elevated home readings
  • Diabetes, prediabetes or abnormal glucose and HbA1c
  • Dyslipidemia or abnormal LDL cholesterol and triglycerides
  • Hyperuricemia or gout
  • Obesity or metabolic syndrome
  • Fatty liver, MASLD, MetALD, MASH or abnormal liver tests
  • Concern about alcohol use and liver health
02

Fatty liver, metabolic health and alcohol use

Fatty liver may be associated with diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia and obesity, with alcohol use, or with both. A board-certified hepatologist reviews screening results, alcohol use, blood tests, abdominal ultrasound and InBody body composition when appropriate.

03

Bring your screening report

Please bring the full report, previous results, a medication list and any home blood-pressure or weight records. We use these to decide whether repeat testing, treatment or continued monitoring is appropriate.

04

Care pathway

  • Review the abnormal values and changes from previous tests.
  • Review medical and family history, diet, activity, sleep, smoking and alcohol.
  • Arrange repeat or additional tests when needed.
  • Agree on practical lifestyle goals, medication and the timing of follow-up tests.
05

Connected care

Ongoing management of hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia is the main focus. We connect patients with gastroenterology for fatty liver or digestive symptoms and with the Saturday cardiology service for relevant cardiovascular symptoms.
